A serene space cloaked in white subway tile a Carrera marble, this master retreat bath finds it's sophistication in simplicity. Necessary decor adds muted pops of color into the space also bringing a more livable feel to the walls of white.
As seen on Good Bones, a former rundown bedroom is transformed into an elegant kitchen with butcher block countertops and a granite bar. There is plenty of counter space and storage in this kitchen, with upper and lower cabinets surrounding the room, and modern, open shelving to display unique pieces. To complete the space, stainless steel appliances were added to finish out the sleek look.

As seen on Good Bones, Karen and Mina wanted to continue the elegant, industrial style into this bathroom, so they carried the reclaimed wood floor into this space. Brown accents keep the space neutral, while continuing to complement the design of the space. In the shower area, designers used subway tile arranged in a chevron pattern to add depth to the space and brighten this neutral space.
To give more space to the living room, Karen and Mina, of HGTV's Good Bones, removed the walls that used to enclose the space. Now that the barriers are gone, this home has an open concept first floor with a line of sight from the living room into the dining room and kitchen. Each of these spaces, then received an elegant, contemporary design, creating a contemporary, updated space.
To create more light in the space, the Good Bones team, Karen E. Laine and Mina Starsiak, added two new windows in the reclaimed wood accent wall. This not only gives the space a focal point, but also allows more natural light into the space, making it feel bright and open. To add to the elegant, industrial design the team was going for, they added black and white artwork, a metal headboard, brown bed linens and dark end tables and lamp shades. To tie the space together and give it a pop of color, a green shag carpet adds comfort to this elegant, industrial master bedroom.
