In this after photo, DIY blogger Yuni Min shows how you can totally remake your room without breaking the bank, simply by painting and refinishing. “If you’re on a budget, try some simple DIY changes with paint, and it can really update the furniture completely,” says Min, who blogs at Love Your Abode. Min used Sherwin-Williams Pure White for the bed and updated the rest of the furniture with Velvet Finishes paint by Kellie Smith, gold spray paint and gold Rub-n-Buff wax metallic finish.

Host Erin Napier said the old closet and sitting area had the feeling of a cage fight with its metal side lights and trophy display area. After the renovations, the master bedroom, and master closet now feature refinished hardwood floors, a new coat of paint and new furnishings to create a relaxed retreat area.
