White Cottage Kitchen With Beadboard Island

Hosts Chip and Joanna Gaines completely transformed the Jonklaas's kitchen by removing the wall to the dining room and creating a more open flow to the space. They decided to keep the original cabinets, but to paint them bright white and to add new hardware. Wood floors, granite countertops, a natural stone backsplash and stainless appliances were installed. The outdated wallpaper was removed and the walls were painted light blue. Two modern pendant light fixtures illuminate a new kitchen island, as seen on HGTV's Fixer Upper.
