A coffered ceiling painted to resemble the sky adds to the drama of the 35-foot ceiling height in this two-story in-home library. Bookcases are backlit to highlight the elegant volumes on their shelves.

Located beside the pool, this bathroom is just bright and fun. A white wallpaper with a scribble paper is whimsical and interesting. Ceilings are painted a soft, muted blue that adds color reminiscent of the sky and is relaxing.
Four ropes support this hanging bed for a cozy and spacious porch swing. The open sides of the swing match the spacious, open look of the porch. A painted blue ceiling adds soft color and brings the blue sky to the covered porch. The concrete porch floor steps out onto an uncovered patio complete with wood chairs for seating.
Jenelle Isaacson of Living Room Realty played up the architectural details of this home's trim by playing down the body color of the home. She found the perfect dark gray for the base that worked with the indirect light of the Oregon skies. Next, she painted the door details, columns and porch ceilings a simple white, really making them pop.
The upstairs sleeping space is arranged to showcase the building's beautiful bow ceiling truss. The area behind the truss was painted in a blue ombre to give the illusion of floating in the sky. While the original building housed a cabinet shop and architectural firm, current guests love feeling like they're on top of the world- especially the 4-legged variety!
Designer Kathleen Navarra granted the homeowners' wishes of a light, airy kitchen with crisp white cabinetry and a cerused oak island topped with marble while weaving in her trademark use of color. Navarra turned to rich chocolate tones for the grasscloth wallcovering, hardwood floor and La Cornue oven and hood and painted the ceiling with a sky blue lacquer to add depth to the San Francisco Decorator Showcase 2015 kitchen.
