Refreshing White Eat-In Kitchen With Metal Barstools
White walls, billowy glass pendant lighting and glass-front cabinets with neatly stacked dishes combine in this airy and refreshing eat-in kitchen. Casual, metal barstools and accents in lime green provide a lively twist.
One of the quickest ways for a media room to take on a cluttered look is by using an ill-fitting, open storage TV stand. Since the family has a large DVD collection as well as gaming systems and controllers, concealed storage for this media room was a must. To create a tailor-made storage solution, a vintage wooden dresser was retrofitted as a game storage console and placed directly under the wall-mounted flat-panel TV.
This vintage chair was updated with a lime green painted frame and bright white fabric, making it the perfect addition to an eclectic living room. The chair's ornate detailing mimics the pattern of the room's blue wallpaper, tying the space together.
The walls in this eclectic master bedroom are hand painted with the wide lime green stripes. The intricate floral bedding balances the sharp lines created by the stripes. An upholstered monogrammed bed is an elegant touch that makes the room feel personal.
Wood boards add pizzazz to this navy bedroom wall and blend with the simple yet beautiful bedside table. A funky, contemporary lamp brings a pop of bright color and an interesting shape contrast. A yellow clock and stack of colorful luggage contribute to the colorful design.
This room evokes a feeling of elegance, along with a sense of playfulness. The delicate nature of the crystal chandelier counterbalances pops of bright pink ruffles, which brings a whimsical feel to the space.
The screen in this midcentury modern living room rests at the bottom of the stairs and was used in place of a railing. It mimics a piece of furniture and the square design adds an interesting textural element to the area. Design by Guy and Karen Vidal, owners Design Vidal, Silver Lake, California.
A striking gold transitional master bedroom features a lime green chair that coordinates with the lime green walls in the adjacent sitting room. Copper accents in the bedding and throw pillows add elegance.
