Vintage furniture was given a modern update for this girl's bedroom, including a hotel dresser and a lacquered chair upholstered with pink velvet. An acrylic cloud makes for a statement piece on the wall, adding even more personality to the room.
The custom purple headboard in this kids' bedroom was selected by the girls themselves, along with the color scheme for the room. By using their two favorite colors, the room was personalized to them with a chic, sophisticated vibe in mind.
This earth-friendly kitchen features Lyptus cabinetry, a sustainable tropical hardwood, and concrete countertops for a natural look that's also good for the environment. HGTV fan sandradinohio added stainless steel appliances, chairs and accessories to modernize the space while still providing familiar traditional elements.
Stylish Gray Living Room With Purple and Lime Accents
This light and bright transitional living room features all-over gray walls paired with purple and lime accents, like the velvet ottomans and tufted armchairs. A soft purple and gray rug is positioned beneath a modern glass coffee table, while a metallic arc chandelier illuminates the neutral sofa with decorative throw pillows.
To add timeless elegance, the master suite is covered in shades of lavender and lilac along with classic-style furnishings. A heavy mix of black and silver keeps the pastel tones from being overly feminine.
Wine Tones Adorn Walls, Details in This Lounge Area
Inspired by Marsala, Pantone’s color of the year, designer Jeff Schlarb chose a rich wine color as a theme for the Pent Room at the San Francisco Decorator Showcase 2015 and worked it in to every detail of the space, from the walls, to the nailhead trim on the tailored sofa. This sitting area allows for private conversation removed from the activity of the pool table and bar.
Plum painted custom millwork with blue tie-ins and traditional furniture provide a unique and inviting farmhouse style room to make guests feel comfortable and at home. “Purple is a really hard color to work with, but plum is purple with just enough brown in it to make it a little more on the new neutral side,” says interior designer Brian Patrick Flynn.
Genevieve Gorder designed her dressing area with an elegant chandelier, doors imported from Morocco and plenty of shelves for clothes and shoes. A large mirrored island reflects the light from a sparkling chandelier throughout the plum-colored space, as seen on HGTV's "Genevieve's Renovation."
Transitional Neutral and Purple Living Room With Graphic Rug
A traditional tufted sofa with nailhead trim is brightened with a yellow and a purple patterned throw pillow. Lavender pottery sits on the glass coffee table, and a darker purple lamp rests on the matching end table. A contemporary purple rug adds graphic punch to the space, while abstract painted canvases bring a soft touch to the walls.
Purple Transitional Bedroom With Vintage Furnishings
Vintage furnishings create a lived-in look and feel. The vintage chandelier and vintage French bed meet contemporary style by mixing in a Crate & Barrel table lamp, an IKEA desk chair and a West Elm desk.
Striped walls lend drama to this dining room featuring a glass-topped table and mirrored sideboard. A large framed mirror on the wall reflects long white drapes on the opposite wall and an ornate chandelier completes the look.
