Spacious Contemporary Walk-In Master Closet With Wood Cabinetry
Organization is the priority in this long master closet with sliding frosted glass doors. Several areas provide space for hanging clothing and storing accessories. Recessed lighting and a simple vase with plant arrangement decorate the space's dark wood interior.
When a closet has this much built-in storage space, it makes sense to have a chair in there, too, so you can sit down and take it all in. A wall of built-ins provides storage for all your clothing and accessory needs.
Designer Melissa Greenauer recently transformed a stark, minimalist residence in Manhattan into a warm and elegant retreat from city life for its new owner. The walk-in closet reflects the client’s traditional style with rich wood tones and classic detailing like fluted panels, antiqued glass overhead light fixtures and leather hardware. Carlisle Wide Plank Floors' custom hickory flooring is the foundation of Greenaur's design for this well-organized space.
This enormous closet, part of the master suite in the HGTV Dream Home 2007, has enough storage space to fit two wardrobe's worth of clothes. Set just off the master bathroom, it provides a space to get ready for the day without waking someone still sleeping in the bedroom.
Accommodate your wardrobe in style with an EasyClosets system that's customized to fit the exact width and height of your closet. Shown in Espresso, this closet features a dual bank of drawers, a full row of shoe storage, a pant rack, and slide-out Chrome baskets.
This Espresso reach-in closet organizer with Euro Flat styled drawer fronts and Sleek and Trim handles complements modern tastes. Storage was tripled with medium and double hanging, drawers, a tilt-out hamper, pull-out baskets, shelving and slanted shoe shelves.
Handsome Closet Features Sitting Area Mixing Tradition & Luxury
A sitting area with a plush, leather chair and ottoman, chic club chair and desk – brilliantly mixing a European and art deco feel through the use of wood – breathes luxury into this handsome closet. Beautiful wood cabinets combine with a coffered ceiling and stunning wood flooring to surround the room with a calm feeling of history, honor and tradition. An exciting pendant chandelier adds a sense of elegant, retro steel to the space.
This shoe closet is so big it can only be captured with a wide-angle lens. Note how the shoes are placed on sliding shelves on a rail system, much like some public libraries use for books in England. That’s where Walter James got this idea, when trying to devise a storage system for his wife Tiffany’s more than 600 pairs of shoes. Walter designed the closet with three stationary back shelves and three additional rows of double shelves on a track with wheels and a header on top to hold the shelves in place and to keep them stable. The entire closet is made of cedar.
For tailored panache, the doors of the closets in this bedroom were finished with a brown tweed pattern. A dresser and mirror tucked between them lets occupants do a quick once over before heading out for the day.
Getting ready for the day or an evening out becomes an event to look forward to with a custom walk-in closet. Designed on a grand scale, it features his and her zones with your choice of open shelves, drawers, adjustable shelves for your entire shoe collection, and ample hanging areas that take advantage of every inch of corner space. A French Roast color with Matte Nickel hardware keeps the entire look upscale, and a floor-mounted design with base molding makes the closet a built-in part of your home.
A beautiful design for this Chestnut walk-in closet includes three hutches along the back wall, plenty of hanging, shelving and drawer space. Crown molding creates a custom look when added to closet organizers.
A rich Espresso finish creates a sophisticated style for this expansive walk-in closet. Hanging rods create zones for each type of clothing, and open shelves keep shirts, linens, and collections looking neat. Drawers, hutches, slanted shoe racks, and corner storage make the most of every square inch.
Sometimes you can simply eliminate a shelf or two and your storage space will expand significantly. Barriers and other dividers just create dead space within your closet, so the sooner you can remove them, the more space you can create for your essentials. Lisa Adams, CEO and designer of LA Closet Design, made a few cosmetic changes to this walk-in closet that make it feel more spacious and maximize the storage space. "In this closet I eliminated the vertical panels between individual cabinets/sections, creating an open, horizontal look. This opens up the space and makes it feel much bigger," Lisa says. "The use of L-shaped shelves and hanging rods at the corners, again, maximizes the corner spaces and makes the closet feel more customized and luxurious." Photo courtesy of LA Closet Design.
