Modern Home Exterior in Northern California
This modern northern California home, nestled into a Healdsburg hilltop, features clean, crisp lines and a cantilevered roofline that helps to protect its indoor-outdoor spaces from the elements. Native plants surround the house, which is designed to embrace its natural setting.
A low concrete tub is set into concrete floors in this sleek, modern master bathroom. Neutral colors and natural materials rule the day in this space, part of a modern home nestled into the northern California landscape. Broad windows maximize light in the space and take advantage of the home's stunning views.
Intimate Seating Space in Front of Modern Fireplace
In front of the fireplace, designers wanted to create an intimate seating space, so they brought in two, neutral, oversized chaise lounges into the space that is directly warmed be the sleek, modern fireplace.
For the lady of the home, designers created a dressing room. The ceiling in the space is outfitted with the custom, cherry millwork that runs throughout the rest of the home, while a chandelier hangs elegantly in the center. A wall full of drawers and cabinets give the owner plenty of space for her clothes, while an adjacent wall has shelves to house her shoes. To make the space even more elegant, designers brought in a cozy leather couch, a pair of fuzzy ottomans and a soft, plush rug. Finally, a piece of Prada artwork ties the space together.
Elegant Wine Cellar With Long Bar and Polished Marble Flooring
This winery displays their bottles on beautiful shelves with diagonal dividers. A long bar with a light countertop creates room for plenty of pouring. A polished marble floor brings an orange sheen to the room leading to a modern fireplace built into a stone accent panel.
In the last of the home's expansive bedrooms, designers made functional use of the space by creating a sleeping space, defined by a neutral, shag carpet, a sitting area that faces the beautiful view of New York City and a work space with a simple, modern desk.
One of two master suites, this penthouse bedroom offers warm wood furnishings, plush brown carpet and balcony access. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide striking views of downtown Dallas both day and night.

You’ve heard the old chestnut, “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” When working with a space that has awkward or unusual lines, designers often have to make the best of the situation — and truly talented pros turn the oddity into a design feature that looks absolutely intentional. When designing the kitchen for a home with corners dramatically out of square, Kerr Construction embraced that architectural quirk and emphasized it with the design of the kitchen island. “The unusual shape of the island matches the corners on that side of the home, and the recessed ceiling above the counter,” they say.
Painted Brick Walls, Modern Black and White Art and Sleek Glass TV Stand in Modern Loft Living Room
White painted brick walls are decorated with a modern black and white canvas to emphasize the minimalistic and modern design. A large plant brings a pop of color and life to the bright, neutral tones of the room and furniture.
