In this master bedroom, a 19th-century French kitchen table becomes a desk by adding a midcentury club chair. The oversized floor lamp and custom daybed create an inviting space, while the natural wool area rug warms the room.
In the master bedroom, the homeowners wanted a minimalist design that would not distract them from sleep, so designers brought in a modern, bleached wood bed frame that could be outfitted with curtains to help block light and two matching nightstands. The bed is outfitted with clean, white linens and just enough pillows to make the space feel comfortable and homey.
The original layout of this Florida apartment separated the dining and kitchen areas, making the home feel dark and cramped. By removing some of the walls, the ocean views can now be enjoyed from the dining table, the barstools in the kitchen and the large living room.
Modern Bathroom with Floating Vanity and Graphic, Three-dimensional Panels
This master bathroom vanity floats on a backdrop of shimmering gold wall covering, and glows from behind through the use of concealed LED lighting. The resulting aesthetic is a fresh take on a glamorously modern bath. Three-dimensional wall panels are simply inexpensive MDF panels that were custom routed and then painted. They provide a graphic quality to the space.
The powder room was kept simple with a sleek, minimalist design. The white floors and white cabinetry contrast against the same taupe wall covering used on the living room accent wall. A pebble accent tile was used along the toilet wall down to the floor for a sleek visual detail.
A diverse mix of materials gives this kitchen its style. The focal point is the island with a glass tile accent wall and floating wood bar top. Honed black countertops pair nicely with the stainless steel appliances and dark-finished cabinetry.
In this petite dining area, a circular dining table is a wise choice, seating up to six with cozy intimacy. The wall art by Miami artist, Latin for Glory, is printed on plexiglass; the colors tie in with the home's coastal location.
Elevated, built-in storage cabinets offer plenty of space for kids to store their art supplies and artwork in this modern art room. Multicolor stripes add fun color and pattern to some of the storage cabinets, and there's ample room to create art at the kid's table nearby.
From the soaring ceilings and unique chandelier to the wall of windows complete with a pivot door, this modern living room may have minimal elements but it lacks nothing when it comes to interest. Wrapping the room in wood paneling and skipping an area rug intensify the design and give this space a one-of-a-kind look.
Modern Dining Room With Custom Table and White Leather Chairs
This stylish dining room features a table from the homeowner's mother that was refinished to fit the modern look of the space. White leather chairs are positioned around the table, while a rectangular crystal chandelier hangs above. A framed photo of a tree with red leaves adds a pop of color.
Modern Double Height Living Room Wood Beam Structure, Textured Chimney Wall and Tufted Leather Seating
This double-height living space combines rustic and modernism with wood beams, exposed ducts, and glass balconies, which provide a peek into the upstairs library. The furniture followed the same scheme with a reclaimed wood coffee table and surrounding sleek seating pieces.
A pebble accent stripe on the wall behind the toilet continues to the floor in the modern powder room. The single vanity features a thick countertop with a long, linear sink and cabinet space underneath for storing hand towels, soap and toiletries.
Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of this oceanfront home is this lovely media room where one can watch television or play video games in comfortable repose. Designed by TriplePoint Design Build, this long, narrow room features a black leather sectional, media console and flatscreen television. Hanging on the wall is a foursome of abstract art that anchors the room's unusual dimensions.
