Modern Kitchen with Silver and Glass Hood Vent and Silver, Brown and Green Colored Tiles
Use recurring patterns and materials for a cohesive style throughout the kitchen. Designer Diane Foreman, of Neil Kelly Company used a mix of stainless steel and colored tiles for the backsplash of this 2016 National Kitchen + Bath Association Competition winning kitchen. The tile echoes the stainless steel in the sink and cooktop, and Foreman repeated a circular pattern throughout the room, a technique she says adds professional flair to the space.
Modern City Apartment With Custom Spiral Staircase
This light and bright living room features a custom white spiral staircase at its center, complete with a metal railing and brown stairs. Several potted plants and trees throughout the space add a bit of natural decor, while plush gray armchairs with a matching ottoman provide a cozy place to relax.
This serene master bedroom pairs neutral tones with gray and gold accents, as seen in the gray and gold upholstered headboard, gold patterned bolster pillow and soft gray throw. A wooden bench sits at the foot of the bed, while two nightstands with glass lamps are positioned on either side of the bed.
The culinary artist can certainly get down to business in this industrial-style kitchen that pays tribute to stainless steel. From the walls to the cabinets to the appliances, designer Andrea Michaelson achieves a coherent look in a silver tone, with contemporary artwork as the focal point in the room.
