Beautiful Eat-In Kitchen With Mediterranean Design
A gorgeous color palette of brown, red and neutral tones creates a stunning kitchen design to be admired. Upper and lower cabinets offer plenty of space for storing kitchen essentials, and the kitchen island features additional storage space as well as a prep sink and a place for three to dine.
The two-tiered marble island in this Italian kitchen has baskets for vegetables and spices, a sink and plenty of room for food prep. Bricked archways painted with Italian frescoes create a grand passage from living room to kitchen. Among the frescoes are handpicked yellow and blue tiles that create a unique patchwork backsplash throughout the space.
Designer Cindy Aplanalp wanted to create an outdoor space that matches the home's existing structure and accentuates its warm Mediterranean feel. Adjacent to the dining area, the outdoor kitchen is complete with a gas rotisserie grill, smoker, secondary gas burner and refrigerator -- ideal for preparing family meals or hosting parties, Cindy says.

Kitchen: Waterfront Mansion Featured in Kourtney and Kim Take Miami
This Mediterranean-style mansion in Miami features an opulent kitchen with tile floors, rich wood cabinetry and a large central island. Known as Palazzo di Mare, the home was rented by socialite sisters Kourtney and Kim Kardashian while they filmed their E! reality series, Kourtney and Kim Take Miami.
This Mediterranean kitchen features plenty of built-in modern conveniences. A six-foot-long tile backsplash along the wall slides open to reveal hidden appliances, including a can opener, toaster and coffeemaker. A built-in granite-topped desk acts as a working space with a built-in wine rack below. Plus, a third armoire doubles as storage for fine china and dishware.
Since the main level is elevated roughly 12′ off the ground, it appears as though the house is actually sitting directly on the water. With several windows surrounding the space, the kitchen area has a lovely view of the ocean from any seat in the space.
A detail offers a closer look at the exquisite wood cabinetry that surrounds the spacious Mediterranean kitchen. Neutral toned tile forms spectacular patterns in the floor adding to the grandness of the space.
