Green and White Kitchen With Oak Plank Tile Backsplash
In a workspace that takes as much abuse as a family kitchen, it’s essential to choose materials that can stand up to daily use. Travis Arnett of Arnett Construction chose a rustic oak plank for the backsplash of the space, but with a twist: “I used Mohawk’s rustic oak plank tiles instead of actual wood,” he says.
Small Kitchen Island Adds Storage and Counter Space to Neutral, Country Kitchen
In the center of this small kitchen, designers brought in an undersized, rustic kitchen island that would add a rich, wood tone to the neutral space as well as contribute storage and counter space to the room's design.
Two light fixtures hang above a large white kitchen island. A combination of wood and white cabinetry complements the white marble countertop on the kitchen island, creating an elegant contemporary look.
Designers wanted to create a functional, inviting and timeless kitchen for the homeowners to replace their home's original, outdated kitchen. To update the space, designers removed walls, opening the space up. They also replaced the space's dark color palette with this bright one.
This black and white farmhouse style kitchen features white cabinets, black counters, pendant lights and stainless steel appliances. The classic combination of black and white can range from country to crisp and modern, but it's always effortlessly elegant. This black-and-white gourmet hot spot was inspired by the movie set of the film Something's Gotta Give.
