The massive main kitchen (there are two in the apartment) designed by Boffi utilizes stainless steel, Corian (including on the walls) and slab stone construction with double stoves and double ovens, two refrigerators, three sinks and three dishwashers.
Alabrije Collection of Statues Adds Pops of Color to Neutral Background
The background of this chef's kitchen was kept visually interesting but neutral in color. This allows for the vibrant Alabrije collection of statues from Oaxaca, Mexico to be celebrated to the fullest, added pops of color throughout the space.
This formerly dark and uninteresting kitchen gets a whole new life with beautiful blue cabinetry, delicate pendants and roman shades with a subtle graphic print. The backsplash is the star of the room: gray tiles in a chevron stripe.
Shades of gray (ahem) give cool sophistication to this renovated kitchen where the walls were pushed back to create a larger space. The white island freshens up the palette and the striking herringbone backsplash adds graphic punch.
The chef-inspired kitchen showcases professional-grade appliances, a huge island with vegetable sink, gray granite countertops and rich brown cabinets. Diamond-laid tile is used for the flooring, while rustic stone creates a rustic backsplash behind the oven and range hood.
1920s Kitchen with Glam Accents, Contemporary Feel
This kitchen is fully updated to modern standards, but maintains a 1920s feel. Polished nickel fixtures and an extra-wide apron sink are among the room's classic touches. A dark island pops in the gray and white space, and its Carrara marble top continues onto the kitchen table.
Gleaming stainless steel is used for the countertop and backsplash, creating a metallic contrast against the dark gray cabinets. Professional-grade appliances, an easy-to-access pot rack and industrial washing area combine for the ultimate chef's kitchen.
This bright and airy kitchen, last remodeled in the 1980s, lacked sufficient counter space. By removing walls and widening the entry, the design team captured previously wasted space and created a kitchen with a family-friendly, efficient layout. Polished nickel hardware and light fixtures add an air of elegance.
