Dark Furniture and Geometric Wall Design in Chef's Kitchen
Thanks to the sliding glass doors that lead out onto the patio and to the pool, this kitchen boasts lots of natural light. That light is complimented by the dark furniture in the dining area, including a large dining table that seats the family comfortably and the banquette seating at the back of the room. The contemporary design of the space keeps ornamentation to a minimum, but the family has chosen to add a geometric wall design that spruces up the space and adds a touch of flair to their otherwise neutral kitchen walls.
The Christmas decor in this kitchen is subtle, but so stylish! A black-and-white graphic Christmas tree decorates the wall behind the range. Wintry touches like polar bears, snowflakes and fir sprigs add personality in unexpected places.
The massive main kitchen (there are two in the apartment) designed by Boffi utilizes stainless steel, Corian (including on the walls) and slab stone construction with double stoves and double ovens, two refrigerators, three sinks and three dishwashers.
Black cabinets and drawers make a striking contrast against the white walls and kitchen island. Classic architectural details, like elegant columns and crown molding, combine with contemporary elements, such as the bubble pendant lights, to create a transitional chef's kitchen that is truly the heart of the home.
Creamy neutral tiles ground this transitional chef's kitchen, which features a large island for prepping, cooking and eating. Floor-to-ceiling custom cabinets provide much-needed storage, while open shelving is the perfect spot to display the homeowners' collection of copper pots.
White cabinets paired with black countertops and farmhouse sink surround this chef's kitchen, while the large island has the opposite effect with black cabinets and chic white countertops. Contemporary pendant lights hang above the island illuminating the workspace, which also functions as a casual dining spot with comfortable barstools.
The house may have been built in the early 20th century, but the kitchen has all modern-day amenities. Chef's grade appliances guarantee gourmet meals and a black-and-white palette keeps the mood crisp and stylish.
Cooking is one of the homeowners' favorite shared hobbies, so when they decided to renovate, the kitchen became a priority. Walls were torn down to open up the space to the dining room and living room. Soapstone and marble grace the countertops, two-toned custom cabinetry is installed and Urban Electric pendant lights hang over the expansive island, lending both illumination and style to space.
Black-and-White Chef's Kitchen is Open, Family Friendly
For this renovation, the kitchen was opened up to the dining room and living room. Materials were carefully selected to ensure that the kitchen would be both stunning and functional. Soapstone and marble grace the countertops, while custom cabinetry in contrasting black and white provides much-needed storage.
