Ana Donahue designed this home office with exotic artifacts, distressed furniture, and richly patterned wallpaper and an upholstered chair. A mix of oranges and grays give this eclectic room a fun, funky feeling.
The inspiration for this grand design was a dream catcher from the client’s mother. Like a dream catcher, the room would have the perfect blend of colors, textures, patterns and materials. Urban elements were to be mixed with traditional, organic with geometric.
A relaxed oversized chaise is the perfect spot to take a break, read a book or steal a nap midday. Floral curtains flank the window and inject bright color into the gray living space. Built-ins provide plenty of storage, both open and hidden.
Deep charcoal walls create a serene environment in this eclectic dining room. Comfortable Ikat dining chairs surround the sleek wooden table, while a modern chandelier illuminates the space. An abstract art gallery wall brings in a contemporary vibe.
High-Gloss Sitting Room With Eclectic Collectibles
Steel gray paint and traditional woodwork sets a serious tone in this study, but its use as a whimsical space for collections makes the room a real conversation piece. From a crumbling Classical sculpture to a mod metal shark mounted above the fireplace, the room is packed with interesting decor and collectibles.
Charming Floral Powder Room With Hammered Nickel Vessel Sink
A curved, natural walnut vanity topped with Calacatta marble served as a design solution that met the client’s needs. The upholstered door panel addressed the client’s concern about sound transfer. Other highlights, including a custom backsplash topped with a beveled glass, a stone-framed mirror, a hammered nickel vessel sink and Romo’s dynamic Kimura wallpaper, add that extra edge to this exquisite and functional space.
This kitchen features white cabinets paired with black countertops and a gray tile backsplash. Cane top wood stools are arranged at the peninsula to provide a spot for casual dining, while blue dishes are placed throughout the kitchen to accent the similarly-hued window frame. Hardwood floors complete the look of the space.
Large abstract artwork makes up a stunning gallery wall in this eclectic dining room. Hardwood floors are softened by a simple gray rug and faux fur throw. A contemporary white bench and armchair provide extra seating when needed or just a place to relax in the gorgeous space.
This small nook is transformed into a warm, inviting living space that pairs a chic fireplace with a cozy white armchair. Flanked by gold sconces, an abstract art piece is the focal point of the space.
When spending money on the design for nurseries and/or children's rooms, it's okay to splurge on pieces that have longevity. The splurge in this nursery was the leather-upholstered glider, which is durable enough to last and stylish enough to potentially work in a different room.
