Open Design Cottage Living Room With Two Large Blue Coffee Tables and Green Patterned Sofa
Two large blue upholstered pieces serve as both ottomans and coffee tables in this spacious living room. A green patterned sofa is topped with black and white throw pillows. The calm, neutral tones blend the space with the connected dining room.
Chip and Joanna Gaines, hosts of HGTV's Fixer Upper, reconfigured the bulk of this '50s vintage home in Woodway, Texas to create an open, free-flowing space with combined kitchen, dining and living room.
To give the living room plenty of seating, soft, floral print chairs and a sofa, along with a muted green, striped chair and ottoman were brought in to complement the country cottage design of the space.
Cottage-Style Bedroom With Upholstered Headboard and Walls
The quaint nook in this bungalow bedroom was transformed into a cozy place to lounge by upholstering the walls with botanical fabric, incorporating playful patterns and layering shades of spring green throughout.
Charming Open Plan Kitchen With Breakfast Bar and Teal Barstools
The vision for the space was to create a livable, functional area for the homeowners. By removing the one wall in the space that used to define the kitchen, the designers were able to open the floor plan up and maximize the square footage and natural lighting. The renovated kitchen now features custom white cabinetry, wood countertops, breakfast bar and teal barstools, staying true to the cottage feel.
HGTV Fixer Upper hosts Chip and Joanna Gaines transformed this casual dining space into a family coffee bar – a place for family and friends to gather for eating and entertaining. Chalkboard paint on the wall creates a cafe-like atmosphere, while the floating shelves add a hint of rustic style.
This cottage kitchen features beautifully detailed wooden cabinets, exposed shelves, marble countertops and a farmhouse sink. A geometric-printed wallpaper provides a charming backdrop, while the round pendant light shines light on the many textures in the space.
Cottage-style Neutral Foyer with Refinished Wood Floors
Removing the louvered windows above the shelves, and opening up the entry to the dining room, redefined the look and feel of this front room. Refinished wood floors and fresh paint in a warm gray help to both soften and brighten the room, that now serves as a large, contiguous entertaining space.
Vaulted Ceiling, Corner Cabinet Keeps Lake Views Unobstructed
A corner cabinet offers storage without obstructing the stunning views of Little Lake Worth in North Palm Beach, Fla., through the windows of this serene master bedroom. The natural tones of the vaulted wood ceiling and the beaded empire chandelier create a cottage look in this coastal home.
