Floor-to-ceiling curtains in navy and white block out the light over the rustic wood canopy bed. Rose gold sconces provide reading light over the bed, which is dressed in a mix of contemporary patterns.
Two Layers of Curtains Help Teen Control the Natural Light in Her Bedroom
Plenty of natural light enters this elegant teen's lounge that converts to a bedroom. To control the light that enters the space, designers added dual layered curtains, creating a fun look while adding more privacy and control over the space's lighting. The first layer of curtain is a Roman Shade that blocks most of the sun, while an airy second layer softens the space and the light that filters through it.
Taking full advantage of the cozy nook, the rustic canopy bed is dressed in cozy, textured bedding. A patterned bench adds extra seating to the space, while an open bookshelf stores the teen's library.
Sputnik-inspired chandeliers light up this eclectic teen bedroom. Rustic wood is used on the canopy bed, bookshelves and desk, while shiplap walls create cool dimension. A hanging swing chair adds a playful element to the space.
The inspiration for this grand design was a dream catcher from the client’s mother. Like a dream catcher, the tween's room would have the perfect blend of colors, textures, patterns and materials. Urban elements were to be mixed with traditional, organic with geometric.
Fuzzy Footstool Adds Fun Detail to Eclectic Teen Lounge
This teen's lounge has the perfect mix of elegant and fun, creating a cool teen lounge. The wainscoting and artwork makes the space look sophisticated, while the bold colored pillows and geometric sconces make the space a little more fun. To complete the look, designers added a fuzzy footstool to add more stylish seating or give the girls a place to rest their feet.
Eclectic Girl's Bedroom With Zebra-Print Tray Ceiling
Magenta-colored drapes and a zebra-printed, round ceiling cut-out create a dramatic effect in this girl's bedroom. Vibrant pillows add color to the white window seat bench. Playful, paisley-printed bedding brings even more rich, purple tones to the mostly white space.
This room uses varying pink patterns throughout the space. The wallpaper on the walls is even carried up onto the ceiling and the back of the door. The small pattern seemingly works as the base in the room, which allows bolder patterns to be used without competing with one another.
French Door's Open Teen's Lounge Onto Private Balcony
On one end of the space, a set of French doors open out onto a private balcony, extending the girl's space for relaxing and entertaining. A long bench sofa gives the girls plenty of seating on the inside, but access to the balcony gives them the option to enjoy the lovely weather.
Teen girls will love this look for their bedroom. Soft gray walls set the backdrop for the room with neutral, blue and coral as the accent colors. One side of the bed features an X-based nightstand to display photos and other knickknacks, while the other side offers a small workspace for homework, drawing or reading.
A built-in desk area in this tween bedroom houses open storage for books and artwork, as well as plenty of workspace to do homework. Arrow-themed green wallpaper adds a graphic element to the space, while the bright yellow bed is dressed in simple white linens and patterned navy-and-white throw pillows.
