"Fun" is the word that best describes this teen girl's room. A blue focal wall matches the custom headboard, making the room pop with color. A hanging bubble chair provides bedside seating, while a four-foot-wide, flokati-covered rolling ottoman offers extra seating and a contrasting color to the blue and pink accents.
Mixed Decorative Pillows and Gray Upholstered Headboard
Wood boards stripe the navy wall behind an upholstered gray headboard with nailhead trim. Blue, gray and white plaid pillows, yellow arrow patterned pillows, a fox pillow and a wood patterned round lumbar pillow create a cushioned and colorful bed setup to brighten the navy comforter.
Boy's Room Comes to Life With Ombre Lacquer Wall Finish
Designed for the young man of the house, Karter's Krash Pad at the San Francisco Decorator Showcase 2015 is brought to life with a vertical ombre lacquer wall finish by Willem Racke inspired by rock formations along the Pacific coast. Designer Susan Lind Chastain selected a Jean Paul Gaultier fabric with crushed car metal design for daybed pillows to add to the hip youthfulness of the space.

To create a unique bedroom for this St. Barts home, designers started with a neutral wall color to reflect the natural light of the Caribbean sun, then, they added teal carpet with a geometric pattern to create visual interest in this unique space. To complement the design, blue accents, silver table lamps and gray Roman Shades were added, along with modern nightstands and a modern light fixture to finish off the space.

HGTV fan lizardshop got creative to give her son the beach-themed room he craved. Using an old-fashioned projector, she traced the surfer and wave design onto the wall then filled it in with latex paint. Custom-made to coordinate with the bedding, mini surfboards are the perfect accent.
