Eclectic Lake House Bathroom
The homeowners' eclectic style is reflected in this bathroom with the combination of Venetian plaster walls and subway tile. Decorative leaded windows in the shape of a spiderweb help to tie the space to the spiderweb motif throughout the home. The lake house's original vanity and mirror were restored and bring in floral detailing that complements the details found on the bedroom cabinetry, truly tying together all the home's spaces.
After a devastating fire that destroyed the client's home, some materials were retrieved from the embers and incorporated into this reconstructed half bath. Items salvaged from the ruins — travertine tile, wall sconces and a ceiling pendant — informed the inspiration for the new design in this powder room renaissance. A floating Mascarello granite countertop completes the space.
Eclectic Powder Room Features Metal Orb Chandelier
This delightful powder room was given life with a collection of hand-painted Italian glass plates. The plates were hung high to create drama and draw attention to the metal orb chandelier. Picasso’s "Blue Nude" is the featured art in the powder room, bringing classic sophistication to the space.
Once all natural light has faded, the coral walls of the bathroom appear a pink shade of salmon. When using high-energy colors on walls, many designers suggest testing the paint in several areas of a space, then taking note of how those colors read at different times of the day. This is especially important when coordinating fabrics, tile or wall covering.
Eclectic Bathroom with Medicine Cabinet and Tile Walls
Instead of using the typical bathroom counter with cabinet underneath, follow Unique Techniques designer Cindy Garten’s example and sandwich a stylish sink basin between sleek shelves that match your bathroom. This eliminates the usual bulkiness that comes with a bathroom countertop and cabinet and creates a more eclectic design.
Eclectic Single Vanity Bathroom With Unexpected Textures
An eclectic bathroom wouldn't be complete without a variety of unique textures and styles. Terra cotta tile in the shower creates visual interest, contrasting nicely with the white textured walls. Above the single vanity, multiple circular mirrors with stained glass trim complement the round cubby below and balance the square tile.
Eclectic Black and White Bathroom With Rustic Wooden Vanity
This lively bathroom features black hexagon wall tiles paired with bright blue and white floor tiles that have been arranged into a geometric pattern. A wooden vanity adds a rustic vibe, while brass fixtures provide a finishing touch. A painting of a man with a pipe hangs on the wall.
A powder room is the perfect spot to use a bold, graphic wallpaper. It makes a big impact in such a small space. A simple wall-mounted faucet, gold mirror and sleek vessel sink bring in a contemporary vibe without competing with the wallpaper.
A black-painted clawfoot tub fits with the character of this historic New York farmhouse, but the sleek black-on-white design of the space is characteristic of its modern renovation. In this updated bathroom, white walls mix with black octagonal tile floors and an unexpected animal hide rug to create an eclectic space with loads of style.
Influences from architect Frank Lloyd Wright are seen in this powder room with the rhythmic play of the decorative vertical wood ladder detail, horizontal stacked bands of solid surface material and wood for the vanity. Additional warmth and interest were added with three stacked metal horizontal sconces. The vertical band of mirror visually expands the space, and the chrome faucet disappears into the mirror, creating a waterfall experience into the sculptural stone sink.
