Tasked with fitting a washer and two dryers into this slim laundry room, designer RaeLynn Callaway of Classically Yours Interiors had limited space to add storage. She configured the cabinets to make the most of every inch, including open niches for bins and baskets. She also paid special attention to aesthetics, with lively green paint and corner cabinets that house art and accents. "I have realized that if you have a 'happy' laundry room you have a happy laundry person," Callaway says. Fun colors, cabinet hardware, flooring patterns and decor can really make a difference."
A classic white table lamp sheds light throughout the laundry room, where gray bead board walls stand as a stark contrast to white cabinets and appliances. “It’s an eye-popper, really good looking, and very tailored,” says interior designer Linda Woodrum.
In the billiard area, designers created a masculine design by using a dark-neutral color palette to anchor the space. They brought in a modern pool table with traditional green felt, and they created built-in storage for the homeowners pool cues. They also added custom, built-in bookshelves to showcase the homeowner's book collection.
Stunning plush sectional, armchair and ottoman in red upholstery and leather excite in this all encompassing basement. Transitionally styled, the space features a home theater with built-in cabinets and fireplace, a wet bar with and additional table and seating, all framed within several different types of wood and stains to match the unique floor. Dropping portions of the ceiling creates a comforting room within a room feel.
A tiny bathroom linen closet is transformed into a more functional space for cleaning supplies. The closet had become a junky catchall space. Jessica Bruno, a DIY blogger for Four Generations Under One Roof, attached affordable wire pull-out trays to the shelves. She then stocked the closet with laundry and bathroom supplies.
An old, sturdy golf bag makes a perfect storage station for gardening tools large and small. Rakes and shovels fit it in the top, and the pockets are perfect for gloves, a bulb planter and other hand tools.
