The view of Lake Washington is the family's favorite part about their home. They spend lots of time enjoying the outdoors and admiring the view, so they added a pool to this backyard. Having the pool so close to the lake makes the family feel as if Lake Washington really is right in their own backyard.
The clients wanted a soaking tub where they could enjoy their views of Lake Washington. It was cleverly fitted into the corner where the surrounding tile could extend into the shower area, maximizing usable space.
The family loves to look out their back door and see the lovely views of Lake Washington, so several gigantic windows were added to the back side of the house. Each level was then given a balcony so that the family could enjoy the views from different vantage points. The balconies each have glass railings so that nothing can get in the way of this family's love of the water.
Playing off the "old" Washington flavor of the Spring Valley home, D&A Dunlevy Landscapers added azaleas and deep-colored pansies to accent the boxwoods bookending the front entry of this stately Washington, DC residence. The entryway has a stone step walk-up and white columns.
Rich blues and reds elegantly decorate this bedroom that features an entire wall of windows looking out over Lake Washington and the homes of Bellevue. In the bay window, a green settee welcomes afternoons of daydreaming.
