Modern Dorm Room With Multifunctional Furniture and Futon
When buying furniture for a dorm room or other small living space, choose pieces that are multifunctional. A futon is the perfect example; by day it can be used as a sofa, but by night it can instantly turn into a full bed. Here, white tables on casters are used as an entertainment center and a mobile coffee table and the cubed bookcase not only stores books and kitchen essentials, but serves as a room divider, too. Mini refrigerators are useful, but they aren't all that attractive. Personalize your dorm room refrigerator using strips of washi tape. We created an abstract stripe design with metallic gold tape. Chalkboard adhesive over the freezer allows you to further personalize the appliance. A light turquoise stacked shelf creates a cute and useful pantry for food and kitchen accessory storage.
Dorm Room Window Decor Featuring Floral Print and Potted Succulents
For a dorm room with a large number of windows, create privacy and preserve wall space by hanging a favorite print in the window using removable adhesive strips. Small potted succulents, hung or sitting in the window sill, bring life and additional color to the room.
Dorm Room Takeover Map Covered Corkboard With Flower Pinned Photographs
Make your dorm room into a home away from home by incorporating items from where you grew up. Here we used spray adhesive to attach a meaningful map to a piece of corkboard. Then, pin photos of favorite memories to the place where they happened.
