The renovation returned much of the home's classic grandeur, replacing the plain white trim with a palette of dark green and classic brick that feels more somber and historic, as seen on HGTV's Home Town.
As seen on HGTV's Home Town, Hosts Ben and Erin Napier renovated an old sunroom in the Rahaim residence and converted it into a massive kitchen space with lots of light, a painted red wood floor and plenty of counter space.
The clawfoot tub gets re-porcelained and updated with new tub hardware, and the brick floors are restored and given a poly coat. The custom vanity was made using an antique dresser that Home Town hosts Erin and Ben Naiper bought at auction.
The old carport was demolished and, in its place, Home Town hosts Erin and Ben Napier created this patio with arbor and seating area. The new wood elements were custom created by Ben using cedar lumber that was salvaged from the old siding and interior demolition.
As seen on Home Town, the existing exterior of the Walker's Laurel, MS house was lost on the street with the old wrought iron fencing and overgrown vegetation. After the renovations, their Laurel, MS house now features a wide open view to the street with new landscaping, painted brick, a new glass entry door and warm cypress wood siding at the front porch.
Locally made objects — found and borrowed — tie the entire Spoon and Stable experience together with true Minnesotan collaboration. Stories from the chef’s experiences all over the world were brought into the space with local artists, friends and connections as a celebration of the chef’s Minnesota hometown. The space is filled with authentic stories made to share around the table in a true chef’s kitchen.
As seen on Home Town, the Carson’s Laurel, MS house had a plain dining room lacking style before renovations by hosts Ben and Erin Napier. After the renovations, the Carson's Laurel, MS dining room now features newly painted gray walls with a white wainscoting, updated blinds, and drapes, a new china cabinet along with new drop cloth chair covers that host Erin Napier created.
As seen on Home Town, the existing exterior of the Carson house was lost on the street with plain white siding and few distinguishing features. After the renovations, their Laurel, MS house now features a new copper roof entry portico, cedar window boxes to highlight the painted blue wood windows, new wood shutters, and a fir wood door. Host Ben Napier custom built the new working blue wood shutters.
