Leading downstairs to the mudroom, an art gallery wall provides an eye-catching focal point. “One of the things I do in almost every single house I create is I always like to have a mix of art that really tells a story,” says interior designer Brian Patrick Flynn.
A mixture of genres adorn the art wall and hail from both local galleries and southern artists. To add a little drama, a pair of polished nickel globe pendants provide ambient lighting and give the art wall its own special light.
Floor-to-ceiling windows provide a stunning city view in this green living room from HGTV Urban Oasis 2011. Low-slung furniture with slim silhouettes define this space's contemporary style. Slim red and yellow pendant lights provide soft lighting and a pop of color in the space.
A large steel console provides dining room storage while doubling as a bar. “Between the dining room and the kitchen there needed to be some kind of transition, so I accomplished that with a super heavy steel, air craft style console table that holds a lot of things that you don’t want to see,” says interior designer Brian Patrick Flynn.
A photography grid adorns one wall of the guest bedroom with a rural southern motif. “I like every house to have a mix of different mediums and that’s where photography comes in,” says interior designer Brian Patrick Flynn. “Anytime I am showcasing photography I like to stick with odd numbers so I picked up nine different prints and put them together in a grid pattern.”
A mixture of styles unite in this charming dining room for a comfortable and inviting space to gather. “I wanted the dining room to be a little more playful but also juxtapose modern times with classic southern,” explains interior designer Brian Patrick Flynn.
