Cherry-stained cocoa cabinets create a gorgeous traditional style in this laundry room space and provide lots of storage from floor to ceiling. A stacked washing machine and dryer maximize available floor space in the small room.
Designer Shane Inman takes advantage of floor-to-ceiling wall space with louvered cabinetry and pull-out drawers in this galley-style laundry room. Custom industrial-inspired butler doors take up minimal space and introduce an interesting design element into the space.
This laundry room's trim got a fresh coat of white paint. The cabinets were designed to not only maximize storage and create a functional room, but create a layer of interest with the finishes, hardware and complimentary backsplash and countertops.
As seen on Love It or List It, Too, once a family room with dark wood paneled walls, this new laundry room fulfilled Kelly's request for a proper laundry room with storage. Her previous closet laundry room off the kitchen was too small for modern appliances and did not have space for folding or storage. The foxglove wallpaper was part of the Scandinavian feel of the overall renovation design.
Sorting bins for lights, darks and towels don't have to be front and center. When Erin Rollins of the blog Sunny Side Up was redoing her laundry room, she created drawers that disguise her plastic baskets. "Laundry can be such a chore," she says, "so I wanted a room that made the process as streamlined as possible."
As part of a major home renovation, this beautiful kitchen was enlarged by utilizing an adjacent existing laundry room. Cherry cabinets that have been antiqued and glazed for an Old World look surround a dark-topped island lit by overhead pendant lighting.
This laundry room lives much larger than its square footage, thanks to smart planning by Geoff Chick & Associates. The base cabinets that flank the washer and dryer are just 18 inches deep, but extending the wall of cabinetry all the way to the 12-foot ceiling vastly increases the usable space. Windows visually expand the room; the natural light flooding in enhances the warm notes in the soft gray paint. "Most laundry rooms are tucked away in a dark corner or in the basement," Chick notes.
Sleek dark wood cabinets are paired with simple gray countertops for a chic and functional laundry room. Floating shelves and cubbies provide open storage, while the space is grounded by rectangular gray tiles. A stainless steel-framed door leads to the private patio.
This light green kitchen pairs together medium grain wood cabinets with neutral granite countertops and dark wood accents, like the kitchen island. Earth-toned slate tiles cover the floor, while a coffered ceiling adds an eye-catching touch. The kitchen's open plan allows for easy access to the nearby laundry room.
Dark cork walls are a smart touch in this laundry room, offering a great space to display children's artwork and tying in with the cork flooring. A cushioned bench serves as a small mudroom space to store shoes and hang jackets on the mounted hooks beside it. The blue paint brightens the space with some color and finishes the organized, clean look.
While stainless steel and nickel are the most popular choices for interior door hardware, dark bronze is just as readily available and it's more unique. Here, dark black-brown bronze knobs are added to coordinate with the nail-head trim on the laundry room's fabric-covered bifold doors.
