A stone base design on the house column is echoed on the smaller gate columns bringing a beautiful texture to the design. The light concrete of the columns and walkways brightens the forrest green siding. A small pergola frames the wood gate and supports a single lantern hanging above. A bright red bench pops against the neutral tones surrounding it.
Cherry wood was used for window seats that double as storage, bookshelves and operable paneling for concealment of a TV over the fireplace. Spatial relationships were emphasized with the aid of wood beams and columns to reinforce the geometry of the design.
