The home office includes built-in bookcases with both open and closed storage. While files remain behind closed doors, color-coordinated books, vintage-style trophies and cultivated artwork are on display.
Interior designer Tiffany Brooks covered the backing of the built-in bookcase with green grass cloth wallpaper that highlights the white books and accessories on the open shelves, including a pair of fun white ear-shaped bookends.

For an unexpected and free update, simply flip around your books to show the pages instead of the spine. Then Gabriela Eisenhart and Holly Conlan with WAKE + LOOM Design accessorized with vintage and new vases and baskets in muted colors and white, which gave the built-in bookcase a minimal, modern feel, Eisenhart says.
With the television being the focal point of this living room space, designers wanted to frame it elegantly as well as add some functionality to the bare wall around it, so custom shelves were built to surround it. Above the TV, open shelves display photographs and knick knacks that add a personal touch to the home, while below, open storage gives the homeowners a place to keep their books and movies within arm's reach.
