The homeowners wanted a space for their boys that was both fun and masculine, so designers used a navy, teal, walnut and gold color palette to create this shared boys' room that has private spaces for each of the children.
A vibrant shade of blue, this kids bedroom is the perfect design for a boy. Space was limited, so a slipcovered armchair and small acrylic desk provide a place to work on homework, while the mirror includes an indoor basketball hoop to practice the perfect shot. The dresser resembles a locker, adding to the cool factor.
This green and white boys' room has a dramatic feel because of the large artwork, patterned rug and green striped border surrounding the room. The bunk bed is not only stylish, but provides extra storage for toys and books.
Designer Genevieve Gorder has a bone to pick with this room design. "My fear with this room is that the child will love it today but outgrow it tomorrow, and that's a waste," explains Candice. "Quality core pieces like the dressers are great starting points; they'll last forever and transition easily. I would have liked to see the theme established with more attention to the temporary accessories in this room rather than the more permanent construction elements."
Dragonfly wallpaper creates a charming neutral backdrop for the bright colors and patterns in this wonderfully whimsical contemporary boy's room. A blue Moroccan pouf and chair make a cozy nook for story time.
