The three-dimensional texture of the wood-clad accent wall -- which looks almost wavy -- brings a unique and sophisticated feel to this living room. An ornate chandelier is made from multiple glass panels shaped like leaves, adding a natural softness. The tile fireplace surround is subtle but detailed and rich.
In this formal, contemporary living room, the texture of the wood-clad fireplace and massive chandelier work together for a dramatic play of light and shadow. Chairs paired on either side of the modern, glass coffee tables bring a pleasing imbalance and added nuance to the space. The gorgeous fireplace is a highlight of the room.
This custom, lighted panel behind the bed brings together an eye-catching light fixture, captivating artwork and modern sophistication with a bit of edge to create a dramatic focal point for the Master Bedroom. This designer created the pattern for the laser-cut wood panel, slightly evocative of an Asian floral motif, which was inspired by the client’s cultural heritage.
This master bathroom vanity floats on a backdrop of shimmering gold wall covering, and glows from behind through the use of concealed LED lighting. The resulting aesthetic is a fresh take on a glamorously modern bath. Three-dimensional wall panels are simply inexpensive MDF panels that were custom routed and then painted. They provide a graphic quality to the space.
This glamorous master bath has gold-toned, tiled porcelain walls and beautiful artwork that glows softly from the light of the dramatic light fixture. The non-traditional artwork serves as a striking focal point for the master bath -- believe it or not, this is simply an assembly of cheap, framed bowls, making a plain centerpiece into high-end art!
This glamorous spa-like master bathroom provides a peaceful environment in which to begin or end the day. Unique panels behind the soaking tub plus the circular motif echoed in the wall around the floating vanity add a palatial feel to the space. The ornate glass and crystal chandelier is the crowning touch of elegance.
A lowered ceiling and soffit details created a better sense of scale and intimacy in this light and airy kitchen and breakfast nook. The open floor plan provides for the kitchen, dining room and living room to flow seamlessly into one another. Warm brown and beige tones bring a comfort to the rooms.
Warm tones from the wood cabinets and polished tile floors soften this modern room, creating a comfortable cooking space. The mottled glass-front cabinets bring a lightness to the space without fully revealing the dish ware -- and possible disorganization -- that lies behind. Unique red and chrome barstools at the kitchen island punch color into the kitchen
This vestibule combines warm finishes with rich textiles and artwork to create an intimate space. The custom-designed double doors pocket carefully into back-lit niches and offer a dramatic entrance to the art studio, which sits at the back of the house like a hidden gem.
Because this laundry area sits between a master bedroom and an art studio, the design team at Crystal Kitchen Center wanted to make it accessible and functional for both purposes. The stained-glass window, backlit by a skylight, serves as an art piece and makes the room feel more expansive. The room is small, so a stackable washer and dryer help to conserve square footage. A staircase bump-out creates a spot for laundry baskets as well as a hanging rod, and a shelf over the sink acts as a handy supply station.
